Akhilesh Yadav’s First Reaction to Kolkata Rape-Murder Case, Defends CM Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata Rape-Murder Case : The first reaction of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has come to light regarding the Kolkata rape-murder case. Defending West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he said that she herself is a woman and understands the pain and suffering of women.

Speaking to the media on Saturday during a private event in Lalganj, Azamgarh, Akhilesh stated that the matter was investigated by the CBI or any other agency as required. On the other hand, attacking the BJP, Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP is politicizing this matter, which they should not do. He noted that while doctors are protesting this incident, the BJP is engaging in politics.

Akhilesh also mentioned the incidents in Uttar Pradesh, where a girl was victimized in Sonbhadra and a Dalit woman immolated herself at the CM’s office in Lucknow, yet BJP members remained silent. He added that if a journalist raises their voice, they are charged and imprisoned. Akhilesh stated that he had never seen such a large-scale protest before, whether during festivals or regular days, with the affected children continuously protesting and meeting people in different delegations, including himself, until they finally received justice.

He expressed confidence that if the INDIA government comes to power, all problems will be resolved. Regarding the development of Azamgarh, he claimed that more development would be done there than in Lucknow, with improvements in roads, electricity, water, and medical facilities. He assured that the facilities at the medical college in Azamgarh would be enhanced.

Regarding the court’s decision on the recruitment of 69,000 teachers, Akhilesh said that now the government would take care of the affected children, and they would receive justice. He promised that the discrimination done by the government would be corrected.
