Kolkata Rape-Murder Case : ASI Anoop Dutta to Undergo Polygraph Test, CBI Gets Court Approval
Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: In the ongoing investigation of the rape and murder case involving a junior doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, the CBI has received court approval to conduct a polygraph test on ASI Anoop Dutta, an associate of the main accused, Sanjay Roy.
Anoop Dutta is closely associated with Sanjay Roy, and after the rape and murder incident, Roy reportedly sought refuge in Dutta’s barracks. Additionally, former principal Sandeep Ghosh has already undergone a polygraph test. Anoop Dutta came under scrutiny after a video surfaced last week showing him fleeing the scene. Sanjay Roy was also arrested from Dutta’s residence.
Bengal BJP Chief Alleges Political Connections
Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar accused Dutta of having ties with the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Majumdar shared photos on social media, stating, “Not just a champion in fleeing, but also in having party connections! None other than the well-known ASI Anoop Dutta and civic volunteer Sanjay were seen attending a meeting with TMC leaders from South Dinajpur.”

Sandeep Ghosh Undergoes Polygraph Test Twice
On Monday, the CBI conducted a second round of polygraph tests on former RG Kar Medical College and Hospital principal Sandeep Ghosh and five others in connection with the rape and murder case. According to an official, Ghosh provided inconsistent answers during questioning over the past 10 days, prompting authorities to administer another polygraph test. The CBI had previously conducted lie detector tests on Ghosh and the others on Saturday.
