Ukraine Visit 6 Weeks After Russia Trip
PM Modi’s visit to Ukraine comes about six weeks after his visit to Russia, where discussions were held on the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This marks the first-ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine, which is expected to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Possibility of Ending the War
Official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, wrote on the social media platform X that PM Modi’s visit to Poland, after four decades, will enhance and deepen India-Poland relations. The United Nations Secretary-General’s office expressed hope that the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Ukraine could bring about a possibility of ending the war.
PM Modi Expresses Hope for Peace and Stability
India has not yet condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In his statement, PM Modi mentioned that as a friend and partner, India hopes for the swift return of peace and stability in the region.
