Shikhar Dhawan Retirement : Former Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan has announced his retirement from all three formats of international cricket. He shared an emotional video on social media, informing his fans of this decision.
In 2024, Dhawan played for Punjab Kings in the IPL but missed several matches due to injury. He may still feature in IPL 2025, as he did not mention anything about retiring from the IPL in his video.
In his retirement post, Dhawan wrote, “As I bring this chapter of my cricket journey to a close, I carry with me countless memories and immense gratitude. Thank you for all the love and support! Jai Hind…”

It’s worth noting that his last international match was an ODI against Bangladesh in 2022, after which he was not seen in international cricket.
