New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Minister Anurag Thakur took a dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday. Alongside, he also compared his wife Sunita Agarwal to Rabri Devi. He said that when former Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav was arrested in the fodder scam, his wife Rabri Devi started making announcements and gradually became the Chief Minister of Bihar. Now, Kejriwal’s wife is also following the same path.
Anurag Thakur was on a tour to Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. He participated in a bike rally in Udhampur. He said that when Laloo Prasad Yadav was trapped in the fodder scam, Rabri Devi used to make announcements. Then gradually, she took over as the Chief Minister. Now, the same is happening in the case of Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest. Sunita Kejriwal has also become quite vocal publicly since her husband’s arrest. It seems she will follow the same path as Rabri Devi.
In fact, since the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister, Sunita Kejriwal has issued two video messages. Sitting on the chair from where Kejriwal delivered many speeches, Sunita defended her husband and read out his messages. Speculations are rife that Sunita Kejriwal, a former IRS officer who has maintained a relatively low political profile, may take over as the head of the Delhi government in place of Arvind Kejriwal, as pressure mounts on him to resign.
