Psychological Test : The incident of brutality against a doctor at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata has become a major issue. Doctors in several states are on strike. Questions had been raised about the police investigation, after which it was handed over to the CBI for investigation. Now, the CBI’s CFSL team has brought the accused, Sanjay Roy, for a psychological test. The purpose of this test is to determine Sanjay Roy’s mental state.

Detecting Truth and Lies

So, what exactly is a psychological test? It is a scientific method used to assess the behavioral traits of the accused. The individual’s mental and emotional state is thoroughly examined. Their intelligence, interests, psychological characteristics, and level of aggression are assessed. During the test, the accused is shown some ambiguous items (inkblots, photos) and their responses are recorded. The test determines how calm or disturbed the mind of the accused is, among many other aspects.

A key component of this test is the layered voice analysis, which helps determine whether the accused is answering questions truthfully or falsely. The truth can be detected through the voice analysis during the test.
